Frequently asked questions
Which Commander precon is best to start with?
A bracket 2 one with deck health B or better and the commander on the battlefield before turn 4 on average: those boxes get going on their own. Every page shows those three figures; 16 of them also come with the AI upgrade already done.
Where do each precon's bracket and health come from?
From the EDH Optimizer analysis of the box list: bracket per the official rules (game changers, fast mana, tutors, two-card combos) and health from 10,000 simulated hands. They are our numbers, reproducible by pasting the list on the site.
Is it worth upgrading a precon or buying singles?
Upgrading: with 8-10 changes for €10-20 a precon climbs one or two health grades without losing its plan, which is what the upgraded pages show. Buying the list as singles is almost always pricier than the box (see each page's reference price).
